Check the exact flat

Gbongan is split, so the flat's meter number is the only way to know.

  1. Get the meter number. It’s on the meter and on any token receipt.

“Hello, before I pay for the flat, please send me the prepaid meter number (or a photo of a recent token receipt) so I can confirm its electricity band. Thank you.”

  2. Enter the prepaid meter number or postpaid account number on IBEDC’s customer feeder information (opens in a new tab)

  3. Or read a token receipt: a tariff code starting with A (e.g. ‘A-Non MD’) means Band A.

A listing can say Band A for a flat that's on another feeder. Ask for the meter number before paying.

About Gbongan

Is Gbongan Band A?
Partly. 2 of the 3 feeders the official lists name for Gbongan are Band A, but NERC's October 2026 caps put one of those on Band D. 1 is Band E. Your band depends on the feeder your flat is on.
How many hours of power does Gbongan get?
Band A feeders are promised at least 20 hours a day, Band E at least 4 and Band D at least 8. These are promised minimums, not guaranteed supply; a Band A feeder under 20 hours for 7 days in a row must be moved down.
How do I check a flat's band in Gbongan?
Ask for the meter number and enter it on IBEDC's customer feeder information, or read a recent token receipt: a tariff code starting with A (for example 'A-Non MD') means Band A.
