Check the exact flat

Most feeders here aren't Band A, so check before paying Band A prices.

  1. Get the meter number. It’s on the meter and on any token receipt.

“Hello, before I pay for the flat, please send me the prepaid meter number (or a photo of a recent token receipt) so I can confirm its electricity band. Thank you.”

  2. Kaduna Electric has no online lookup. Ask customer care with the meter number (kadunaelectric.com (opens in a new tab)).

  3. Or read a token receipt: a tariff code starting with A (e.g. ‘A-Non MD’) means Band A.

A listing can say Band A for a flat that's on another feeder. Ask for the meter number before paying.

About Jega

Is Jega Band A?
Probably not. All 3 feeders the official lists name for Jega are Band D in NERC's September 2026 order for Kaduna Electric. A particular flat can still be on a feeder these lists don't name, so check its meter number.
How many hours of power does Jega get?
Band D feeders are promised at least 8 hours a day. That is a promised minimum, not guaranteed supply.
How do I check a flat's band in Jega?
Ask for the meter number and give it to Kaduna Electric's customer care, who can tell you the feeder's band, or read a recent token receipt: a tariff code starting with A (for example 'A-Non MD') means Band A.
