Check the exact flat

Opoji is split, so the flat's meter number is the only way to know.

  1. Get the meter number. It’s on the meter and on any token receipt.

“Hello, before I pay for the flat, please send me the prepaid meter number (or a photo of a recent token receipt) so I can confirm its electricity band. Thank you.”

  2. Enter the account or meter number on BEDC’s check meter band (opens in a new tab)

  3. Or read a token receipt: a tariff code starting with A (e.g. ‘A-Non MD’) means Band A.

A listing can say Band A for a flat that's on another feeder. Ask for the meter number before paying.

About Opoji

Is Opoji Band A?
Partly. 2 of the 4 feeders the official lists name for Opoji are Band A, but NERC's October 2026 caps put one of those on Band B. 1 is Band B and 1 is Band E. Lists also disagree on 1 other feeder. Your band depends on the feeder your flat is on.
How many hours of power does Opoji get?
Band A feeders are promised at least 20 hours a day, Band B at least 16 and Band E at least 4. These are promised minimums, not guaranteed supply; a Band A feeder under 20 hours for 7 days in a row must be moved down.
How do I check a flat's band in Opoji?
Ask for the meter number and enter it on BEDC's check meter band, or read a recent token receipt: a tariff code starting with A (for example 'A-Non MD') means Band A.
